Well, so this is ostensibly my first post. Actually, it’s not, but only because my other WordPress blog, which was hosted on another site (not my own), has apparently vanished without trace — all my posts, four years worth, gone into the ether of domain changes.
So why didn’t I backup the data, you ask? Good question. The answer is, on that site I couldn’t but was assured that the owner of the site had both raid and hard copy backups installed. Fortunately, while much that was annoying was lost, nothing that was critical was lost. For that data I have another WordPress blog, on a dedicated domain, that is backed up every way from Tuesday.
So what’s this blog about, you ask? Well, it’s the place where I put my ramblings, thoughts, and insights — which may or may not be of value to you, me or anyone else.
So your mileage may vary as much as mine, and probably will.
